I agree - I was apalled to read that Tesco would not brand English produce as such 'because Scots and Welsh wouldn't buy it'.

I think that's pandering to a minority that do not represent the views of Scots and Welsh at large.

Personally, I think that the UK is in it's final years - and this is a good thing for both Scotland and England. I hope that it happens in a friendly climate with mutual respect - but that may well be fanciful thinking when people like the English Democrat party are building an entire platform around attacking Scotland and her people...

As an Englishman I used to get very angry when Tescos or ASDA would stick a Union Flag next to "English Butter", but now I think this is more insulting to the Scots and Welsh.

Think about it. Some numpties at Tesco HQ have minds that work...
1 Scots/Welsh hate the Englsih to the extent that they would avoid fruit and veg grown on English soil
2 We have to put the origin on the packaging
3 Scots/Welsh are very dim people
4 If we put the UK flag on English produce, the not very bright (see 3 above) people outside England will never know it comes from England

Can anyone else think of any other reason why they do this? It insults everyone. Please write to Tescos...

Nice post mate.

Conversational chit chat about deep issues is definitely your style.

Not a delirious rambling in sight.
