I don’t allow comments on my blog; in the main, because I think that the comment model is broken. I have freedom of speech, and so do you – I can (and would) do nothing to stop you from having your say… but I’m not going to provide you with a platform. If you want to comment on something I have written, start your own blog and link to the article you want to comment on.

For people who think like me on this, you may want to consider using “AdBlock” in Chrome or Firefox – you can usually block the entire comments pane on most news sites. It makes for a more pleasant experience when you don’t see the dreck being added onto the bottom of articles. 🙂
